The whole point of Partyreel is that guests don't have to work for it. There's no app to download and no account to create — if they can scan a QR code, they can contribute.
What a guest does
- Scan the QR code with their phone camera (or tap the join link).
- Enter a display name so their uploads are recognizable. That's the only thing they're asked for — unless you've chosen to request an email too.
- Upload photos and videos right from the browser. They can keep adding all night.
Uploads appear live
When your event is public, new photos show up in the gallery as guests add them — so everyone can watch the album fill in real time.
What guests can upload
- Photos up to 50 MB each — plenty of room for high-resolution shots and iPhone HEICs.
- Videos up to 5 minutes and 2 GB — long enough for speeches, toasts, and first dances.
Everything uploads at full quality, straight from the phone — no messaging-app compression.
Do guests need an account?
No. A guest only enters a display name, plus an email if you've turned that on for your event. There's no sign-up, no password, and nothing installed. If you're the host, see who can see your event to decide how open it is.
