Creating an event is the fastest part of Partyreel. The only thing you have to decide up front is the name — everything else is optional and editable later.
Step by step
- From your dashboard, choose New event.
- Name it — "Sara & Tom's Wedding", "Q3 Offsite", anything. This is the only required field.
- Design the QR code — pick a style that fits the vibe (more on that in Customize and share your QR code).
- Share — you'll land on a share screen with your scannable QR and a join link, ready to send.
Start minimal
You don't need to fill anything else in to go live. Add a date, a cover, or turn on review whenever you like — your event page is fully editable.
What happens after you create it
Your event is live the moment it's created. Guests who scan the code can join right away, and you'll see their uploads appear in your gallery. Nothing expires — your event stays up until you decide to delete it.
Before a big event
- Decide whether you want to review uploads before they go public.
- Skim storage and plans so you know how much space you have.
- Print or pre-load your QR so it's ready when guests arrive.
